The DPW is responsible for the maintenance of all of the City streets, parks, and playgrounds.
​​They also maintain the Wildwood Cemetery located at Linwood Avenue.

The DPW is currently accepting applications for ​the positions listed below.
Interested parties can apply at the HR Office in City Hall, 225 Wildwood Avenue, Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM
​Maintenance Worker- 40 Hours per week, $35k-$50k depending on experience, plus benefits
The Maintenance Worker will serve as a skilled laborer supporting the city's in-house construction team. This position will work under the supervision of the Construction Manager to complete a variety of building, remodeling, and repair projects on city-owned and residential properties. Responsibilities include but are not limited to carpentry, masonry, plumbing, painting, heating or electrical installation, maintenance, and repair. A Maintenance Mechanic does related work as required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: One to three years of experience in general building construction, maintenance, or repair in one or more of the standard trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, masonry, etc. and must be able to pass a drug test.
PART-TIME LABORER - 30 hours per week, at a wage of $17.20.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Requires Class D Driver's License, must be 18 years of age or older and must be able to pass a drug test.
FULL TIME CLASS B DRIVER - 40 hours per week, $19.00 per hour, plus benefits
Duties involve a wide group of positions involved with the performance of a wide variety of routine manual tasks in a variety of work settings. Duties are performed under direct or general supervision depending on the nature of the tasks to be completed and does related work as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Possession of a Class B License with air brake endorsement as appropriate for the type of vehicle operated and must be able to pass a drug test.
FULL TIME LABORED / CLASS B DRIVER TRAINEE - 40 hours per week, $17.20 per hour, plus benefits
Duties involve a wide group of positions involved with the performance of a wide variety of routine manual tasks in a variety of work settings. Duties are performed under direct or general supervision depending on the nature of the tasks to be completed and does related work as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Possession of a Class B Permit with air brake endorsement as appropriate for the type of vehicle operated and must be able to pass a drug test.
