Services provided by the City Comptroller: 

• Accounts receivable
• Annual Tax Schedule
• Collection of delinquent school taxes
• Collection of Indian leases within City limits
• Debt issuance and management
• Issuance and collection of the following bills - ambulance, special assessments, advance life service
• Issuance and collection of city and county taxes
• Issuance and preparation of City payroll
• Preparation of tax searches for property transfers
• Payments are to be made in cash or local check (no cards are accepted at this time).

TAX INFORMATION

City taxes become a lien on April 1st, and are
mailed on April 9th.  All City taxes are due by May 31st
without penalty in each fiscal year.

Cattaraugus County tax (within City limits) are mailed out January 9th and due on February 28th without penalty in each fiscal year.

Salamanca City Central School taxes (within City limits) after November 1st school taxes become delinquent and are payable only at the City Comptroller's Office with interest and penalty.

Seneca Nation of Indian Lease Payment bill mailed by January 9th with the County Tax Bill, due by February 15th without penalty.

School Taxes are mailed by the SCCSD, paid at Five Star Bank, CCB or Board of Education (Warsaw), due by October 31st, after which they are payable at the City Comptroller's office with penalties.

Annual Property Auction is usually held in the summer of each year.

Taxpayers are reminded that the timelines of all payments are determined by an official US postmark on the envelope.
