The City Clerk strives to constantly improve the administration of affairs of the office consistent with applicable laws and through sound management practices to produce continued progress and to fulfill our responsibilities to the community and others.

The City Clerk serves as a Registrar of Vital Statistics, Records Management Officer, and American's with Disabilities Act Coordinator.

​The City Clerk provides a variety of diverse services, including: 
  • Registrar duties of vital records (preparation of birth, death, and marriage documents)
  • Licensing: Dogs, Hunting and Fishing, Marriage, Plumbing, Garbage Removal, and Bell Jar -Games of Chance
  • Countersigning of deeds for transfer of all City property
  • Issuing Permits for Handicapped Parking and Solicitors
  • Transfer Station Tickets
  • Advertising for public hearings, local laws, and ordinance
  • City Bidding according to Procurement Policy (advertising, collecting bids, bid opening)
  • Preparing and distributing yearly budget documents
  • Preparing the annual Indian Lease Roll
  • Processing insurance claims
  • Processing accounts payables
  • Recordkeeper of minutes, agreements, local laws, ordinances, and oaths of office
  • Recording of minutes for City Council, Fire Department, Board of Public Utilities, Police Commission, and Recreation Commission
  • Payments are to be made in cash or local check (no cards are accepted at this time).

         All of the above cost $10 each and require to be
         signed before a notary public.
  • Genealogical Search Request Application - cost is $22 each and signed before a notary public.
  • Marriage Licenses - the cost is $40.00 (no cards).  Both applicants must appear in person and bring 2 forms of identification, preferably a valid driver license AND a birth certified. If the marriage in not the first for either applicant, certified proof of divorce, annulment and/or spousal death is required, for all previous marriages. The license must be obtained at least 24 hours in advance of the marriage ceremony and is good for 60 days. Please come between 8:30 AM and cutoff time of 3:30 PM.​
